• Thousand years ago India invented its own treatment for common diseases. It was the God of medicines (Dhanventri) who termed as "Ayurveda".
• Ayurveda: The name Ayurveda is made up of two words Ayur and Veda, referring to life and knowledge respectively. Together they mean "the science of life and longevity". Ayurveda deals with the mantel, spiritual and physical levels of body complex.
• Ayurveda is based on scientific principles of diagnosis and treatment. It differs from conventional medicines in the basic principle of investigation & assigning cause to process rather than specific area of physiology.
